PUZZLES’ new wooden jigsaw features iconic Lewes sunset photo
Locally owned PUZZLES commissioned the work of Milton photographer Robert Young after reaching out on Facebook for photographic submissions of a quintessential Lewes sunset to be used as the image on its latest puzzle.
The 204-piece, 9.5-inch-square wooden jigsaw puzzle, “Delaware Bay Sunset,” features an iconic sunset at The Point in Cape Henlopen State Park, with the Delaware Breakwater East End Lighthouse visible in the background.

PUZZLES jigsaw features Lightship Overfalls
Locally owned PUZZLES and the Overfalls Foundation commissioned Lewes photographer Michele Buckler to provide a photograph of the Lightship Overfalls for an exclusive jigsaw. The photo depicts the ship’s recent return to Lewes after a five-month refurbishment at the Dorchester Shipyard in New Jersey. The 550-piece jigsaw puzzle commemorates the 80th anniversary of the lightship, which is one of only seven still open to the public. The ship is berthed on the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal adjacent to Lewes Canalfront Park.

New Lewes jigsaw offered at PUZZLES. Lewes resident and internationally known artist Ruth Lozner created PUZZLES’ latest jigsaw puzzle of Lewes – Greetings from Lewes, Delaware! Locally owned PUZZLES has commissioned the work of Ruth Lozner, a resident of Lewes and internationally known artist, to create its latest jigsaw puzzle of Lewes – Greetings from Lewes, Delaware! The 550-piece jigsaw puzzle celebrates iconic landmarks and images of Lewes in postcard style using the Old English scratchboard technique. Locals and visitors alike will recognize their favorite views of Lewes town, maritime areas, flora and fauna. This original piece of artwork was produced by Lozner for presentation to Lewes' namesake town in Sussex, England.

Puzzles offers exclusive jigsaw celebrating Lewes “On the Canal in Lewes”. Locally owned Puzzles has commissioned the work of Lewes photographer Michele Buckler to provide a photographic image of Lewes; it is currently available as a jigsaw puzzle at the store. Kalmar Nyckel ends Lewes season by graduating a local crew of volunteers

The Kalmar Nyckel wrapped up its 2016 August Summer Season in Lewes soon after graduating its 38th class of new volunteers. Coming from all walks of life and experience, bringing a variety of skills, these 11 men and women join approximately 300 others who can "Weather Clew, Sheet Home" and "Heave Around the Halyard."

PUZZLES and Lewes Gourmet owners celebrate anniversary with ribbon cutting

Tim Southerst and Andrea Spuck assumed ownership of PUZZLES and Lewes Gourmet on the canal at 108 and110 Front St. in Lewes June 30, 2015. They celebrated the one-year anniversary with a ribbon cutting with family, store colleagues, city officials and previous owners Gavin and Lou Braithwaite. The Braithwaites actively assisted the Southerst family as they transitioned into the world of retail ownership and Lewes life over the past year.

There's no place like home, and Andrea Spuck and Tim Southerst didn't quite know what home felt like until they found Lewes.
The owners of Puzzles and Lewes Gourmet on Front Street have lived all over the world, including England, Amsterdam, Belgium, Germany and across the United States. But none of those places had the same feeling as Lewes.
